AcroYoga
AcroYoga blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage, and the dynamic power of Acrobatics. These three ancient lineages form the foundation of a unique new practice that cultivates trust, connection and playfulness. Our highest aim is to bring individuals into a state of union with themselves, with each other, and with the divine. From this place of mutual support the true self can be realized, honored and shared for the benefit of all.
Anjali Restorative Yoga
Anjali Restorative Yoga, was created by om time’s founder, Shannon Paige Schneider in 2004. Anjali Restorative Yoga is a deeply restful practice where the practitioner is guided through meditations and thoughtful visualizations while the body is held and supported by bolsters, pillows, and blankets. By resting deeply, the body engages its natural ability to heal and rest. The effect is profoundly nurturing, thoughtful, and balancing.
Anusara
Anusara Yoga literally means, “stepping in to the flow of grace.” By opening up to the possibility that one can do and be anything, one can experience the beauty of the world – one just needs to step into the flow! Based on the universal principles of alignment, as created by Anusara’s founder, John Friend, the practice offers structural awareness and heart centered movement. Om time is host to 6 certified Anusara instructors. This high concentration of certified teachers grants om time a strong a learning and transformative environment.
Anusara Eye of the Tiger / Tigress
The Eye of the Tiger / Tigress Practice is geared toward experienced intermediate and advanced Anusara Yoga students and teachers, men and women, who can kick to handstand at the wall and perform Urdhva Dhanurasana (full wheel back bend) with straight arms. This practice attracts dedicated practitioners of all ages, who are very committed to their practice and their friendships with in the community. The teacher practices alongside the students and gives direction and guidance. Experienced students are always welcome. The 2.5 hour guided practice is not recommended for beginners.
Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga cultivates a strong and supple body, purifies the mind, and gives access to one’s deepest nature. This unique class incorporates classical yoga philosophy, methods of pranayama (breath-technique), theory & dhyana (meditation). The asana (posture) segment of class blends both flowing and prolonged postures to awaken the inner intelligence of the body through form, breath and concentration.
Baptiste Power Vinyasa
Baptiste Power Yoga, as developed by Baron Baptiste, and taught at om time by a leading senior assistant to Baron, offers a dynamic vinyasa flow practice. The practice links movements, strength, balance, and breath. Core strength is developed and concentration is honed through a thoughtful sequencing of strong standing poses, challenging balancing poses, and concentrated seated poses.
Classical Yoga
This form of practiced Classical Yoga cultivates a strong and supple body, purifies the mind, and gives access to one’s deepest nature. This unique class incorporates classical yoga philosophy, methods of pranayama (breath-technique), theory & dhyana (meditation). Detox Flow Yoga
Detox Yoga Flow
This deeply transformational vinyasa flow class is geared towards cultivating revolutionary energy through personal effort and awareness. The class focuses on moving with deep attention to alignment while flowing in clear participation with the breath. The effect is a little hot and sweaty; however, the body and mind feel clear and refreshed with toxins released and emotional body refreshed. The room is not heated. Modifications for those searching for ease are given, as are more advanced variations for those who aspire.
Gentle Flow
Gentle Flow Yoga has been designed to serve the practitioner who wants to flow with the gentle grace of the breath and leave all chaturanga's at the door! This practice is a soothing sequence of postures, one linked into the next with a sweet and easy grace. This class is perfect for: baby boomers, those who are seeking a softer practice, those who are recovering from injury, those who are with baby! and those who like to smile through juicy poses.
Happy Hour
Hearts & Hips
Friday Happy Hour Hearts and Hips is a celebratory class taught in both of our location. It is wildly popular and regarded as the biggest party of the week! The classes are taught by several of our most beloved yoga instructors who love to explore the play of back bending and hip opening. Cookies and Tea Spot Tea are served at the end of each class! What a great way to meet people in the Yoga community – COME PRACTICE and EAT cookies together!!!!
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga literally means the yoga of balanced action. This class is an eclectic blend of several Hatha Yogas. The instructors move the class articulately through the postures, pausing and perfecting the intention and the breath. The class is inspired, strength building, and soothing. Sweetly described as “strong but not sweaty,” there is not a focus on flowing from pose to pose in these classes; rather, postures may be held for a period of several breaths to facilitate personal growth and transformation.
High Noon
High Noon Yoga is the perfect mid day yoga break! Enjoy an afternoon on a Yoga High after taking our high noon classes. High noon classes are taught over the lunch break in a variety of styles. Please, check our schedule page online to see what might be in store each weekday for your afternoon escape! High noon classes are 60 and 75 minutes - in and out - smiling upon departure.
Jivamukti Yoga
Jivamukti Yoga is a vinyasa style of yoga, developed by Sharon Gannon and David Life. It is emphasized in these classes that the goal of enlightenment is attainable through right action and practice. This method uses physical posturing (asana) as a means to deeper understanding of meditation, spirituality, devotion (bhakti), non-harming (ahimsa), and the yoga of sound (Nada Yoga). A spiritual lecture and call and response chanting begin every class.
Kripalu Yoga
Kripalu Yoga is a practice of being in your body with awareness, honesty, appreciation and ease. The emphasis is on inquiry and exploration. The Kripalu approach creates a safe space in which to respect your limits while discovering your potential, encouraging a practice of listening to your body’s feedback and making choices that are in your best interest. In this moderate class, beginner and intermediate students will benefit. The class consists of breathing exercises, warm-ups, slow flowing sequences and sustained postures, incorporating variations and modifications when appropriate. There will be a long relaxation at the end of class.
Kripalu Yoga, gentle and strong
In this Kripalu class students of all levels will benefit, entering a
safe space in which to breathe, relax, feel, strengthen and soften.
You'll be guided inward through a combination of slow-flowing sequences,
willful posture-holdings, gentle supported postures as well as through
conscious breath and visualization. The intention is exploration
and relaxation to bring you to a place of deep appreciation of yourself and
your life.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga is a practice combining breathing, movement, stretching, and sound. It is a safe, comprehensive technology that can be practiced by everyone. Practicing Kundalini Yoga keeps the body in shape, increases vitality, and trains the mind to be strong and flexible in the face of stress and change. It balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enhances creative potential.
Kundalini TeenWarrior
Kundalini Teen Warrior Yoga is a class to give teens a “hands on” experience of their own highest consciousness. The class will help teens find methods of managing stress and anxiety allowing them to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed – and well worked out! The practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions.
Prana Flow Vinyasa
Prana Flow Vinyasa is an energetic, creative full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga. This style was founded and cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective of Teachers. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana - the universal source of breath, life energy and conscious intelligence - as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. Practitioners learn classical and innovative approaches to vinyasa yoga and the state of flow drawn from Krishnamacharya's teachings, Tantra, Ayurveda, and Bhakti.
PrenatalYoga Flow
Prenatal Yoga Flow supports women during pregnancy by integrating yoga practices with education about the natural changes in the body and mind. Breathing, postures and other yoga techniques explored in this class allow participants to nurture and open their bodies throughout pregnancy. All of the practices and techniques learned will directly benefit the birthing process. The term “flow” in this practice is not specifically to link one pose into the next; rather to link the mother into the flow of her breath and changing body.
Vinyasa
Flow or Om Time Yoga Flow
Om Time Yoga Flow or Vinyasa Flow is our signature “flowing with the breath”, or “vinyasa” practice. The emphasis in this class is on the connection of the individual to hers or his universal freedom. Manifested in the body this practice links postures one into another, moving in a seamless flow from pose to pose. The practice includes a wide variety of standing postures, balancing postures, inversions, and seated floor poses. With thoughtful sequencing and upbeat music, this class encourages the body and breath to move with fluidity, strength, and grace. Meditation and breath work are strong components of the mind, body, spirit connection and are emphasized in this class.
Viniyoga Experience the ancient yogic practice of exploring movement through the medium of the breath. Primary goals include increasing self-awareness, reducing pain, improving spinal health, increasing structural stability and symmetry, and managing stress. Appropriate for all abilities and conditions, this class is an excellent choice for beginners, those with injuries or chronic pain, and those inspired by continuing self-discovery.
Yoga Trance Dance
Trance Dance, as developed by nationally regarded teacher and om time mentor Shiva Rea, is an exploration of the eternal flow of natural movement through yoga. Beginning with sahajaya prana yoga or the experience of prana initiating yogasanas, yoga trance dance flows into an exploration of free form, breath-driven movements to liberate one’s creative life force and cultivate embodied freedom.
